On Saturday 8 November 2025 at the ATMS Gala Dinner, we celebrated the very best of our profession with the Natural Medicine Awards.
Each year, the Awards honour practitioners, clinics, students and lecturers who embody the highest standards of care, innovation and dedication in natural medicine. From outstanding clinical practice to inspiring education, these winners represent the passion and professionalism that define our industry.

Meet your 2025 Natural Medicine Award winners
2025 Practitioner of the Year
Rowena Jayne
Rowena Jayne is an award-winning Psychotherapist and Naturopath with advanced diplomas in nutrition, herbal medicine, and postgraduate training in neuro emotional technique.
She’s a Psychedelic Assisted Therapist with Mind Medicine Australia; Accredited in yoga, meditation, shamanic medicine, ayurveda, transpersonal bodywork, NLP & hypnosis. Rowena is currently completing an advanced diploma in homeopathy.
With 25 years’ experience, Rowena operates her Sydney clinic specialising in mental health, supporting women with anxiety, trauma, PTSD, and gut health through integrative care.
She leads workshops, retreats, and is a senior leader for Tony Robbins International.
Author of the bestseller “The Joy of Real Food” and co-author of “Within,” featured on CNN and Good Morning Australia, her personal triumph over health challenges inspires her passion to help others.
Our Practitioner of the Year finalists:
Casey Jones is a Paediatric Clinical Nutritionist and founder of Carter Nutrition, based in Tamworth, NSW. She supports children and families across regional Australia, specialising in gut health, behaviour, mood, and fussy eating. As one of the very few paediatric clinical nutritionists serving the broad regional NSW radius, Casey is passionate about transforming how children’s health is supported – bridging the gap between clinical care, functional testing, and real-food strategies. Her evidence-based, realistic, and empathetic approach empowers families to understand the “why” behind their child’s health, creating lasting change. With a vision to pioneer change in paediatric nutrition, Casey is helping shape a more proactive, holistic, and accessible future for children’s health.
Conny Pulvermacher has been a clinical practitioner, yoga teacher, and holistic health educator for more than 25 years. She holds qualifications and has undergone training in bodywork, nutrition, and yoga, specialising in craniosacral therapy (biodynamic and structural). She runs a busy clinical practice at Elemental Health in St. Ives, Sydney, working with a diverse client base. Her very favourite clinic visitors are newborns, but she also loves supporting those who have travelled the life journey for many decades.
Conny has developed an integrative approach to therapeutic practice combining the non-invasive approach of craniosacral therapy with myofascial release, positional release, acupressure, kinesiology and remedial massage to facilitate the integration of experience at multiple levels.
She structures nutritional advice and movement therapy as additional tools to empower clients with self-help ability in their everyday life.
Conny has taught ATMS seminars Australia-wide since 2019 and has offered a wide range of integrative workshops in a variety of different forums focussing on holistic health, nutrition, movement, and meditation.
Conny is currently the co-ordinator and co-teacher for the USA based Wellness Institute, offering three-year long diploma training courses in Craniosacral therapy held in Sydney.

Our Clinic of the Year Finalists
Darling Health is founded and owned by Naturopath Amanda Haberecht and has been operating in Sydney’s Inner West for 20 years. It is a collective of esteemed and experienced clinicians who pride themselves on practising evidence based, complementary medicine, utilising nutrition, naturopathy, acupuncture and psychology. Their aim is to help people exist beyond survival and ensure they shine and flourish.
Driven by core values, personalised medicine and a patient-centred approach, their passionate clinicians treat people through all walks and phases of life, with a strong focus on reproductive and hormonal health.
SynerQi Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine is dedicated to helping people restore balance and wellbeing through Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Founded by Jeffrey Fricot, SynerQi provides personalised treatments using acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, cupping, and auricular therapy to mainly address pain management, fatigue, neurological conditions, digestive issues and women’s health. SynerQi is recognised for its compassionate, results-driven care, helping clients achieve their health goals
With over 20 years of experience, Jeff has also served as a Clinical Supervisor at the University of Western Sydney and has accepted and mentored students completing their clinical hours at his clinic. Through both in-clinic treatments and educational outreach, SynerQi continues to inspire a growing community of people seeking a balanced and integrative approach to health.
2025 Lecturer of the Year winner
Tamara Saunders
Tamara Saunders – Dip CTM, Dip CNMT, Vodder MLD & CDT, Sports Medic
With over 22 years of clinical experience, Tamara Saunders has built a career dedicated to client-centred care and evidence-informed practice. Her professional background spans corporate wellness programs, community health clinics, and collaborative work alongside medical professionals supporting refugee and trauma-affected communities. She has extensive experience in multidisciplinary environments, providing treatment for clients with complex health needs.
Tamara has completed elements of a Bachelor of Health Science (NMT) and is committed to further study to strengthen her clinical reasoning and enhance the depth of her teaching. Her approach to education is grounded in lived clinical experience, reflective practice, and the belief that learning should be both rigorous and compassionate.
Humbled to be nominated by her students, Tamara acknowledges the unwavering support of her family and the many teachers, colleagues, students, and clients who continue to inspire and shape her work.
Our Lecturer of the Year finalists
Harmonie Henderson-Brown is a passionate advocate for inclusive education, committed to creating learning environments that support and empower every student.
She works as a lecturer and clinic supervisor across multiple TAFE campus’ teaching the Diploma of Remedial Massage. She is also a disability support tutor, providing personalised academic assistance to students with diverse learning needs.
Harmonie has owned and operated her Remedial Massage clinic in Marrickville since 2012 and is currently completing her Diploma of Counselling.
Harmonie has developed curriculum across multiple units within the Diploma of Remedial Massage. In 2025, she served as a Subject Matter Expert on TAFE NSW’s academic audit and validation panel. Harmonie’s commitment to academia and industry engagement strengthens future teaching practices and educational outcomes within Australia’s natural therapies community.
“I’m constantly learning from my students. Their curiosity, dedication, and desire to understand and heal the human body drives me to be a better educator. I love witnessing the individuality of each student’s journey – how they connect with the practice, how they grow, and how they begin to see themselves as capable, compassionate therapists”.
Tania O’Neill McGowan is a highly respected leader in the field of kinesiology. A passionate educator with over two decades of clinical and teaching experience, she is the Director of O’Neill Kinesiology College, one of Australia’s premier kinesiology training institutions. In her dual role as director and senior lecturer, Tania plays an integral part in curriculum development, student mentoring, and upholding the highest standards of professional education. Committed to creating learning environments that support and empower every student, she is also the co-author of the acclaimed textbook Energetic Kinesiology – Principles and Practice, a foundational resource used by practitioners and students worldwide. Tania’s deep commitment to holistic health, combined with her leadership in both academic and clinical practice, has made her a driving force in the evolution of kinesiology as a respected complementary health modality.
2025 Student of the Year winner
Rachel Horn
Rachel Horn is a Clinical Nutritionist who graduated from Endeavour College of Natural Health with Distinction. With additional training in paediatric nutrition, she specialises in supporting families through the early years, from first foods to managing fussy eating, allergies, eczema and gut health.
During her time at Endeavour, Rachel mentored fellow students, contributed to the college’s Instagram page by engaging with prospective and current students, and represented the college at Open Days. She also contributed to the redevelopment of the Perth Children’s Hospital menu and now offers 1:1 consultations and community workshops at Floralia Wellness in Nedlands.
Rachel is passionate about empowering families with practical, evidence-based nutrition to make mealtimes easier and help children thrive.
Following a medical retirement from the Australian Army after twelve years of service due to various mental and physical injuries Brett thought his capacity to assist others was gone. Now practicing at Torrens University with aspirations of being a clinical nutritionist. Brett has a passion for assisting women with hormonal and reproductive issues and is now the vast majority of Brett’s clientele. Not forgetting where he’s come from Brett is highly motivated to study Nutritional Psychiatry and would like to bridge the gap between holistic and traditional healthcare for people with mental health conditions. Over the course of his rehabilitation and studies, Brett’s core belief is that no matter how difficult things are, we always have the capacity to assist others.
Paris McMahon is a dedicated BHSc Naturopathy student, Registered Nurse, mother and business owner. She is in her third year of study at Endeavour College of Natural Health and travels regularly to Sydney to attend classes. She is also training as a Vega Practitioner at The Allergy Centre in Canberra. With an extensive nursing background across Neurosurgery, Emergency, NICU, and most recently as a Nurse Educator, Paris integrates evidence-based medicine with the holistic principles of Naturopathy.
Paris is the founder of Studious Naturopath, created during her maternity leave. What began with the development of the first herbal reference cards for students has grown into a thriving educational hub. Studious Naturopath offers affordable, tailored study resources and expert-led webinars designed to support the growth and confidence of students in natural health.
