2021 ATMS Natural Medicine Award Winners Announced

 

ATMS hosted the Natural Medicine Awards Gala Dinner on Saturday night (22 January), and even though it was online, it was a great night celebrating the efforts of the 12 finalists for Practitioner of the Year, Clinic of the Year and Student of the Year.

The event included a special keynote speaker, Associate Professor Judith Lacey, who specialises in the development and integration of supportive care interventions to keep people living well with cancer, independent of prognosis or stage of disease. Professor Lacey is Head of Supportive Care and Integrative Oncology at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse and presented How natural therapies and therapists have integrated into and benefited the multi-modality clinic at Lifehouse.

 

Meet your 2021 Practitioner of the Year:

Pat Collins

Pat Collins owns Total Health and Education Centre with her husband in Muswellbrook NSW. Pat is an experienced Herbalist and manufactures her own line of Herbal products. Pat has authored several books, produced a DVD and she also teaches Herbal Manufacturing at the ATWEA College in Newcastle.

Pat takes an integrated approach to care utilising Iridology, Nutrition, Herbal medicine Reflexology, Clinical hypnosis, Bush Flower remedies and many others. She believes treating the whole person is key to successful care.

Emily Fidirikkos
Torrens University, QLD

Emily studied a Bachelor of Health Science (Clinical Nutrition) at Torrens University in Queensland. During her time at student clinic, she was able to bring a number of clients and produced great results for each of them. She participated in various on campus activities such as nutrition workshops and had a cooking segment that was run live across the campus.

Emily is passionate about providing people with expert knowledge to heal their bodies and optimise their health, using food as medicine!

Heather will complete her Advanced Diploma of Kinesiology at the end of 2021. She runs a successful Clinic at her house, Beyond Bliss Kinesiology, and has a loyal client base.
