ATMS has formally submitted its opposition to the proposed statutory registration of Naturopathy and Western Herbal Medicine under the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme (NRAS).
Following a detailed review of the public interest test and available evidence, ATMS does not believe statutory registration is justified at this time.
Our submission highlights the profession’s existing self-regulatory standards, accredited education pathways, practitioner accountability, and ongoing commitment to public safety.
ATMS remains committed to advocating for practical, evidence-informed approaches that support practitioners, protect consumers, and strengthen the future of natural medicine in Australia.
