Meet the finalists for Clinic of the Year:

Lightning Ridge Massage Clinic

The clinic is an essential health service provider for the towns people, tourists, miners, outback farmers and their families and contract government workers. Owner, Sharon Cleaver – a practitioner of 24 years, supports a client base from a 200k radius who visit the clinic and seek help for all their aches and pains.

Sharon says having massaged and treated many thousands of ‘patients’, her gift to help people has come through experience, studies, and developing many techniques that work for her and work for her patients. Sharon continues all these years in massage as she loves what she does. She is passionate about the people in the country and outback and says her reward is in giving some people hope; some people an ache free body, and some people an opportunity and space to dedicate time-out for themselves.

The Lightning Ridge Massage Clinic is a well-known, respected and loved business. Many travellers and tourists make a return pilgrimage to Lightning Ridge, either yearly or twice yearly to have their daily massage treatments and soak in the famous artesian hot pool. Most are from Sydney and they relate it to a health retreat experience! Lightning Ridge is arid and dusty country where not much ‘green’ grows and hence the massage clinic offers an oasis in the literal desert.
