Guidelines
for Authors
The Journal of the Australian Traditional-Medicine Society
(ISSN 1326-3390) publishes articles on the activities of the Australian
Traditional-Medicine Society, as well as on all aspects of natural
medicine as taught and practised in Australia.
An article must be on a theme that is generally accepted as being
part of natural medicine as recognised by the Australian Traditional-Medicine
Society, and is of relevance to Australian natural medicine clinical
practice.
Acceptance of an article will be based on the assessment made by
the Peer Review Committee. Author/s with a commercial interest in
a therapeutic good, device or service mentioned in the article must
declare their interest. This interest may be published in the Journal
for the information of readers.
Submission of an article implies that it has not been previously
published, and is not in the process of being submitted elsewhere
for publication.
Articles must be written to a standard that is regarded as appropriate
for a professional journal. Submissions with poor grammar, spelling
mistakes or poor presentation will not be accepted. Information
presented in the article must be substantiated from generally accepted
reputable sources of information. Unreferenced or poorly referenced
articles will not be accepted.
All articles are subject to peer review and the editing process.
Alterations to an accepted article will be made in accordance with
the Journal's in-house style. Every effort is made for the author
or authors to see the final copy, but time restraints may prevent
this from happening.
Word Count
We accept articles of up to 2500 words. If your article exceeds
this length, please contact the Editor before submitting it.
