As remedial massage therapists our focus tends to be on the musculoskeletal and fascial systems of the body. But frequently our clients present with conditions of other systems and organs that impact the muscles and tissues. Digestive complaints are among the most common of these.

Acupressure offers a way to address issues of the digestive system in a way that can easily be incorporated into any bodywork session. In this seminar you will learn how to treat the organs and meridians of Stomach and Spleen which in Chinese medicine form the central axis of digestion. Also we will study the Small Intestine, Large Intestine and Liver and learn ways to balance these organs and meridians.
Five Element Acupressure is a complete system of healing. It is an ancient form of Chinese medicine that aims to restore wellness to the whole body-mind system by freeing and harmonising the natural energy flows of the body. When energy (Qi) becomes blocked and creates symptoms of imbalance, we can use finger pressure on the acu-points to heal these symptoms wherever they occur.

This two day seminar will provide you with a set of points and treatment patterns to aid a wide variety of conditions such as stomach cramps, nausea, reflux, abdominal distension, gas, constipation and diarrhoea, as well as the fatigue that can result from improper digestion, assimilation and elimination.
